Blessed is the one who does not sit in the seat of mockers. Psalm 1:1-6

Lying has become a daily practice. We have become accustomed to falsehoods, and in a world full of pretenders and deceivers, dressing in truth is a suicidal act. Rumors, exaggerations, self-deceptions; all of these are commonplace. White lies, tricky lies, vulgar lies… hundreds to choose from. But there is one lie we cannot tolerate: the blatant lie.

The blatant lie shakes us and outrages us; it makes us feel like fools. In a word: it humiliates us. It is the lie of the inept, the mediocre, the unfortunate beast that has nothing to offer, that wants to shine without being a star, that wants to boast without having the stature. And in their inability to craft a good lie, they impose it as a mandate, as if the entire world were under military rule.
Not like this, Chavistas, not like this. Be more creative. Respect human intelligence. This planet is full of people with average intelligence.

Go far away to cry over your lies. Have some decency, for God’s sake, and let these people rest. So much abuse. So much insulting incompetence. People can’t take it anymore.
